Our convoy of unmodified vehicles, including a little Suzuki Grand Vitara, attracted an audience as we were about to tackle some large bog holes near Bunyip recently. However some spade work and careful guidance got us all through unscathed, much to the onlookers’ disappointment!
Bogholes were also in abundance on the recent Caledonia River trip. I’ve since learned that Parks Victoria have found it too expensive to do proper maintenance there – so it may be closed.
Other news is that our bus business which has out-grown its ‘Mountain-Top Experience’ (4WD business) origins has now been re-branded as ‘Experience Bus Hire & Charter’. At Rawson, our tourist accommodation business ‘Mountain Rivers Tourist Park’ has welcomed new managers, Matthew and Natalie.
Sad news however is that my wife Andrea, who was often the ‘life’ of our camping trips, recently passed away after a two year battle with MND. Thank you to the many people who have sent tributes.
